Eco-friendly 12 inch Sea Turtle Stuffed Animal Plush Toy made from Recycled Plastic Bottles

The Ecokins plush is made from 100% post-consumer recycled water bottles PET and recycled paper, which saves energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Wild Republic continues the company’s promise to the planet by reducing the amount of plastic waste affecting our environment. Our focus is on preventing the 60 million single-use water bottles used every day from going to the landfill.

So, how do we turn these water bottles into the adorable Ecokins stuffed animals? First, the water bottles are shredded, cleaned, sanitized, and melted. Then, the fibers are spun into an ultra-soft fabric yarn. The fabric, fiber fill, and sewing thread are all made from this repurposed material. It's hard to believe that these stuffed animals, so soft and cuddly, started as a water bottle. And the embroidered eyes and nose are made from recycled thread, making them safe for babies. We even use recycled paper hangtags printed with soy ink and cotton string instead of plastic cord. For example, the Ecokins 12" Sea Turtle is made from 16 recycled water bottles. Currently, Ecokins is the only plush toy made from 100% post-consumer material.
